“I assist my students to develop their basic rhythmic concept, learning short melodies, improving their sitting position and how to hold the flute in a relaxed position. In the beginning they will have freedom to play as they like, then gradually we will develop some Ragas and short melodies. Performer Babua Pahari is offering Bansuri and tabla lessons. The Bansuri is a Hindustani bamboo flute, widely used in North India. The Tabla is a Hindustani percussion instrument, with two finger drums. The courses are offered to students of all ages, beginners and advanced players, either individuals (solo or accompany) or in groups.
Babua Pahari is known for his versatile playing in classical, semi classical, Bengali songs and fusion music. Since 2004 he has performed numerous concerts in India and in Germany. He composes for his ensemble as well as for others. He is a permanent member of the bands „Back to India“, „Integra“ and the founder of the bands „Ananda Dhara“ and “Kalkutiran”.
Babua Pahari ist ein Multiinstrumentalist. Er unterrichtet die Bansuri-Bambusflöte und die Tabla, ein Perkussionsinstrument mit zwei Trommeln. Beide Instrumente werden der Hindustani, bzw. der Klassischen Indischen Musik zugesprochen. Babua Pahari ist bekannt für sein facettenreiches Spiel von klassischen und semi-klassischen, bengalischen Liedern und Fusion-Musik. Seit 2004 gibt er zahlreiche Konzerte in Indien und in Deutschland. Er komponiert sowohl für sein Ensemble als auch für andere Ensembles. Er ist ständiges Mitglied der Bands “Back to India”, “Integra” sowie Gründer der Bands “Ananda Dhara” und “Kalkutiran”.

Students will learn the system of Northern Indian classical music, also known as Hindusthani music. The Hindusthani melodic and rhythmic system was established many centuries ago. Students will be taught short melodies and simple rhythms in the beginning. Additionally they will also taught about finger position and sitting position from the very beginning of the course. Babua gives importance to blowing technique, which forms a very essential part of his training. At a later stage the students will be taught how to improvise on Ragas and learn compositions. Improvisation is an essential ingredient in the music of North India.
Die Schülerinnen und Schüler lernen das System der nordindischen klassischen Musik, auch bekannt als Hindusthani-Musik. Das melodische und rhythmische System des Hindusthani-Systems ist seit vielen Jahrhunderten fest etabliert. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler werden kurze Melodien, zu Beginn einfache Rhythmen, lernen. Außerdem werden sie von Beginn des Kurses an auch die Finger- und Sitzposition kennen lernen. Babua legt großen Wert auf die Blastechnik, sie macht einen sehr wesentlichen Teil seiner Ausbildung aus. In einem fortgeschrittenen Stadium werden die Schülerinnen und Schüler in der Improvisation von Ragas und Kompositionen unterrichtet. Die Improvisation ist ein sehr wichtiger Teil der Musik Nordindiens.

The Tabla is a rhythmic instrument of North Indian Classic Music. Nowadays Tabla is accepted as a world rhythm instrument in bands and solo and accompany. It is well known in the folk and the semi classical music as Bhajan and Ghajal music of India. The tabla sounds are build up with a rhythm language. This rhythm language is very famous in world music. Tabla occurs in Pujas (religious festivals in the temples), music festivals, recording studios, movies and dance. Tabla is performed as a solo instrument but is also used to accompany a wide variety of music ensembles and dance. It is also possible to learn only the tabla language for rap-singing. ;)
Die Tabla ist ein rhythmisches Instrument aus der nordindischen Klassik. Heutzutage ist die Tabla ein gern gesehenes Instrument in der World-Music Szene, als Solo oder Begleitinstrument. Tabla ist in der Folk Musik und der semiklassischen Musik Indiens bestens bekannt. Die rhythmische Sprache des Instruments findet man in vielen musikalischen Zusammenhängen, den Pujas (religiöse Feste in den Tempeln), bei Musikfestivals, in den Aufnahmestudios, in Filmen und beim Tanz. Die Tabla wird als Soloinstrument gespielt, wird aber auch zur Begleitung verschiedenster Musikensembles und Tänze verwendet. Weiter kann man die Tablasprache lernen z.B. um Raps zu singen ;)
